The goal of the city

Assessment of accessibility

The City of Helsinki has been followed in assessing accessibility work instructions and methods that seek to secure the site accessibility at all stages of the work.

Availability has been verified by an external expert as an audit and self-assessment. Accessibility is checked using programmatic accessibility checking; and manual review of the site and content. Assessment tools the deficiencies reported have been inspected and, if necessary, rectified.

The external expert audit has been performed by Unicus Oy.

Updating the reachability statement

The accessibility of the site is ensured by constant monitoring as technology or content changes and periodically amendment. This brochure will be updated with site changes and accessibility checks.

City of Helsinki and accessibility

The city is promoting the accessibility of digital services by harmonizing publishing work and providing accessibility-focused training for its staff.

The level of accessibility of the sites is constantly monitored during the maintenance of the sites. Deficiencies will be addressed immediately. The necessary changes will be made as soon as possible.
